The present invention relates to a method and a device for generating aerosol. A heating-type system for generating aerosol according to one embodiment comprises: a holder for generating aerosol by heating a cigarette; and a cradle including an inner space into which the holder is inserted, wherein the holder is inserted into the inner space of the cradle and then tilts to generate the aerosol. 일 실시예에 따른 에어로졸 생성 시스템은 궐련을 가열함으로써 에어로졸을 생성하는 홀더; 및 상기 홀더가 삽입되는 내부 공간을 포함하는 크래들;을 포함하고, 상기 홀더는 상기 크래들의 상기 내부 공간에 삽입된 후 틸트(tilt)되어 상기 에어로졸을 생성한다.
