Embodiments of the present invention provide an organic light emitting display device. The organic light emitting display device comprises: a display panel; a drive IC supplying a driving signal to the display panel; and a control unit driving the organic light emitting display device in any one driving mode of a first driving mode for driving the organic light emitting display device by including a display period displaying an image on the display panel after execution of a sensing period sensing characteristics of the display panel when the organic light emitting display device is turned on and a second driving mode for driving the display period displaying the image on the display panel when the organic light emitting display device is turned on, and driving the organic light emitting display device in the second driving mode when the organic light emitting display device is turned on within a predetermined time after the organic light emitting display device is turned off. 본 실시예들은, 표시패널, 표시패널로 구동신호를 공급하는 드라이브 IC, 및 턴온되면 표시패널의 특성을 센싱하는 센싱기간의 실행 후 표시패널에 영상을 표시하는 디스플레이기간을 포함하여 구동하는 제1구동방식과, 턴온되면 표시패널에 영상을 표시하는 디스플레이기간을 구동하는 제2구동방식 중 하나의 구동방식으로 구동하되, 턴오프된 후 기설정된 시간 내에 턴온되면 제2구동방식으로 구동하는 제어부를 포함하는 유기발광표시장치를 제공하는 것이다.
