According to the present invention, a method for controlling a gear ratio of a continuously variable transmission vehicle includes: a step of detecting a position of a shift lever by a controller; a step of checking, by the controller, a gear ratio variation based on a difference between a desired gear ratio and a current gear ratio in a continuously variable transmission when the shift lever is detected to be positioned in a manual range; a step of calculating, by the controller, a gear ratio correction value based on a rate of change of engine RPM when the gear ratio variation is checked as being other than zero after the step of checking the gear ratio variation; and a step of correcting, by the controller, the gear ratio variation in response to the calculated gear ratio correction value after the calculation step. 본 발명에 따른 무단변속기 차량의 기어비 제어방법은 제어부가 변속레버의 위치를 감지하는 단계; 감지단계 수행결과, 변속레버가 M레인지에 위치한 경우, 제어부가 무단변속기의 목표단기어비와 현재기어비의 차이에 따른 기어비변동률을 확인하는 단계; 확인단계 후, 확인된 기어비변동률이 0이 아닐 경우, 제어부가 엔진RPM변화율에 기반하여 기어비보정값을 산출하는 단계; 및 산출단계 후, 제어부가 산출된 기어비보정값만큼 기어비변동률을 보정하는 단계;를 포함할 수 있다.
