본 발명은 알칼리 금속 바이카보네이트 염, 알칼리 금속 카보네이트 염, 알칼리 금속 세스퀴카보네이트 염 및 이들의 조합으로 이루어진 군으로부터 선택되는 알칼리 금속 염을 포함하는 제형을 제조하기 위한 방법에 관한 것으로, 상기 방법은 (a) 용매 중에 기능화제(functionalizing agent)를 용해시키는 단계; (b) 알칼리 금속 염을 기능화제를 포함하는 용액과 혼합하여 페이스트-유사 조성물을 형성하는 단계; (c) 페이스트-유사 조성물을 압출하여 필라멘트 또는 과립을 수득하는 단계; (d) 필라멘트 또는 과립으로부터 용매를 적어도 부분적으로 제거하는 단계를 포함한다. 본 발명은 추가로 상기 방법으로부터 수득 가능한 분말, 필라멘트 및 과립, 및 플라스틱 발포 또는 식품 및 사료 팽창(leavening) 조성물에서와 같은 다양한 응용에 있어서의 분말, 필라멘트 또는 과립의 용도에 관한 것이다. The present invention relates to a process for preparing a formulation comprising an alkali metal salt selected from the group consisting of alkali metal bicarbonate salts, alkali metal carbonate salts, alkali metal sesquicarbonate salts and combinations thereof, wherein said process comprises: (a) dissolving a functionalizing agent in a solvent; (b) mixing the alkali metal salt with the solution comprising the functionalizing agent that a paste-like composition is formed; (c) extruding the paste-like composition to obtain filaments or granules; (d) at least partially removing the solvent from the filaments or granules. The invention furthermore relates to filaments and granules obtainable from said process and to the use of these filaments or granules in various applications such as in plastic foaming or in food leavening compositions.
