According to an embodiment of the present invention, a cut-in crackdown system includes a first camera which is installed in a starting point of a cut-in inhibiting section and generates a first license plate image by photographing a license plate of a first vehicle which runs on a cut-in allowance lane and has a first vehicle number, a second camera which is installed in a finishing point of the cut-in inhibiting section and generates a second license plate image by photographing a license plate of a second vehicle which runs on a cut-in inhibition lane and has a second vehicle number, a database which stores the first license plate image transmitted from the first camera among the first camera and the second camera, and a controller which controls a storing and maintaining time at which the first license plate image is stored and maintained in the database, extracting the second vehicle number from the second license plate image transmitted from the second camera, and retrieves whether the first license plate image including the first vehicle number which is identical to the extracted second vehicle number exists in the database.
