Provided is a recording apparatus, which comprises: a recording unit recording an inspection pattern including a first patch and a second patch, having different density while having different or identical colors so as to be extended in the first direction on a recording medium due to a plurality of discharge holes; and a reading unit including a plurality of detecting elements disposed in the second direction, performing reading in the first direction, and reading the inspection pattern on the recording medium.
