The present invention relates to an earphone device and, more specifically, to an earphone device having a wired connection function capable of being connected to an electronic device as well as wireless Bluetooth function and capable of simultaneously charging one pair of earbuds, which can be coupled when wired to an electronic device and a control method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a user can listen to content of a portable electronic device while using a battery of a Bluetooth earphone while connected to the electronic device by wire but also the user can use the Bluetooth earphone without worrying about power consumption of the battery since one pair of earbuds can be charged at the same time in a junction state. 본 발명은 이어폰 장치에 관한 것으로서, 보다 상세하게는 무선 블루투스 기능 뿐만 아니라 전자 기기와 연결가능한 유선 연결 기능을 구비하되, 전자 기기와 유선 연결시 결합 가능한 한 쌍의 이어 버드를 동시에 충전할 수 있는 이어폰 장치 및 제어 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 이어폰 장치 및 제어 방법에 의하면, 전자 기기와 유선으로 연결된 동안에는 블루투스 이어폰의 배터리를 사용하지 않고도 사용자가 휴대용 전자 기기의 콘텐츠를 청취할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라, 한 쌍의 이어 버드를 접합 상태에서 동시에 충전할 수 있으므로 배터리의 전원 소모에 대한 걱정없이 블루투스 이어폰의 이용이 가능한 효과가 있다.
