A fine pitch high density high speed orthogonal card edge connector includes at least one signal transmission assembly including a plug-in connector, a press-fit connector, and a PCB board. A row of first pads is provided on the side surface of the PCB board and a row of second pads is provided on the side surface of the PCB board adjacent to the side where the first pads are located. The first pads correspond to the second pads, respectively, through the wiring of the PCB board. The extension line of each of the first pads is perpendicular to the extension line of each of the second pads. The plug-in connector is mounted on the side surface of the PCB board on which the first pads are provided and is connected to the first pad. The press-fit connector is mounted on the side surface of the PCB board on which the second pads are provided and is connected to the second pad.
