According to one aspect of the present invention, an operation method of a voice server for efficiently recognizing and processing natural language comprises the steps of: receiving voice data from home appliance; converting the received voice data into text data; analyzing the text data to determine a voice command; transmitting a signal corresponding to the determined voice command to a predetermined server; receiving a response signal based on the voice command determined by the predetermined server; and converting the response signal based on the voice command into the voice data and transmitting the voice data to the home appliance. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 음성 서버의 동작 방법은, 홈 어플라이언스로부터 음성 데이터를 수신하는 단계, 수신한 음성 데이터를 텍스트(text) 데이터로 변환하는 단계, 텍스트 데이터를 분석하여 음성 명령을 판별하는 단계, 판별한 음성 명령에 대응하는 신호를 소정 서버로 송신하는 단계, 소정 서버로부터 판별한 음성 명령에 기초하는 응답 신호를 수신하는 단계, 및, 음성 명령에 기초하는 응답 신호를 음성 데이터로 변환하여 홈 어플라이언스로 송신하는 단계를 포함함으로써, 음성 명령을 효율적으로 인식, 처리할 수 있다.
