Summary:The present invention provides a method for managing data in a distributed environment by using a weight-based access method. A method for storing data in a distributed environment including a plurality of storage devices comprises the following steps of: receiving a request to store the data; calculating a hash value by applying a hashing function to a value associated with the data; splitting the hash value into a plurality of weights corresponding to each of a plurality of chunks; selecting one chunk among the plurality of chunks based on the weight; and storing the data in a storage device corresponding to the selected chunk. 개시된 복수의 스토리지 장치들을 포함하는 분산 환경에 데이터를 저장하는 방법은, 데이터에 대한 저장 요청을 수신하는 단계, 데이터와 관련된 값에 해싱 함수를 적용함으로써 해시 값을 계산하는 단계, 해시 값을 복수의 청크(chunk)들 각각과 대응되는 복수의 가중치들로 분할하는 단계, 가중치에 기초하여, 복수의 청크들 중 하나의 청크를 선택하는 단계, 및 선택된 청크에 대응되는 스토리지 장치에 데이터를 저장하는 단계를 포함할 수 있다.
