판유리의 제조 방법 및 제조 장치

판유리의 제조 방법은 판유리(G)를 소정의 반송 방향으로 반송하는 반송 공정을 구비한다. 반송 공정은 제1대기위치(WP1)로부터 가공 위치(CP)로 판유리(G)를 이동시킬 때에, 반송 벨트(6)의 일부를 승강 장치(8)에 의해 상방으로 이동시킨다. 또한 반송 공정은 끝면 가공 장치(3)에 의해 판유리(G)의 끝면을 가공할 때에, 상방으로 이동시킨 반송 벨트(6)의 일부를 승강 장치(8)에 의해 가공위치(CP)보다 하방으로 이동시킨다. 이 하방으로의 이동 후에 가공위치(CP)에 배치된 판유리(G)의 끝면을 끝면 가공 장치(3)에 의해 가공하면서 반송 벨트(6)를 주행시킴으로써 다른 판유리(G)를 제1대기위치(WP1)에 배치한다. A plate glass manufacturing method comprises a transportation step of transporting plate glass (G) in a prescribed transport direction. In the transportation step, a portion of a transport belt (6) is raised by a lifting and lowering device (8) when the plate glass (G) is moved from a first standby position (WP1) to a processing position (CP). Furthermore, in the transportation step, the portion of the transport belt (6) that was raised is lowered by the lifting and lowering device (8) to below the processing position (CP) when an end face of the plate glass (G) is processed by an end face processing device (3). While the end face of this plate glass (G) disposed in the processing position (CP) after being moved down is being processed by the end face processing device (3), another plate glass (G) is disposed in the first standby position (WP1) by way of causing the transport belt (6) to travel.
