The present invention relates to a method for photographing an image by using an electronic device having a camera and to an electronic device thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the electronic device comprises: a display; a camera; at least one sensor; and a processor electrically connected to the display, the camera, and the at least one sensor. The processor is capable of receiving a signal for obtaining an image, obtaining a preview image through the camera in response to the received signal, identifying a first motion of the electronic device through the at least one sensor while the preview image obtained through the camera is displayed through the display, and controlling the electronic device based on the identified first motion and the preview image. 본 발명은 카메라가 구비된 전자 장치를 이용하여 영상을 촬영하는 방법 및 전자 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 다양한 실시 예에 따른 전자 장치는, 디스플레이, 카메라, 적어도 하나의 센서 및 상기 디스플레이, 상기 카메라 및 상기 적어도 하나의 센서와 전기적으로 연결된 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 프로세서는, 이미지 획득을 위한 신호를 수신하고, 상기 수신된 신호에 응답하여, 상기 카메라를 통해 프리뷰 이미지를 획득하고, 상기 카메라를 통해 획득된 프리뷰 이미지가 상기 디스플레이를 통해 표시되는 동안, 상기 적어도 하나의 센서를 통해 상기 전자 장치의 제1 모션을 식별하고, 상기 식별된 제1 모션 및 상기 프리뷰 이미지에 기초하여, 상기 전자 장치를 제어할 수 있다.
