The present invention relates to a system for evaluating a product using user reviews and a method thereof and, more specifically, to a system for evaluating a product using user reviews and a method thereof which automatically extract features for each product differently extracted for each product and assign a score by a weight to each feature to provide a service to allow an online shopping mall user to easily acquire features of products to assist in purchase determination. The system for evaluating a product using user reviews and the method thereof analyze nouns and emotional words appearing in existing user reviews for products to quantize features for the products appearing in user reviews and detailed evaluation for the features to extract detailed features of the products and assign a weight using a score to a corresponding feature to provide the feature with the weight to provide a user intending to purchase a product with detailed useful results. 본 발명은 사용자 리뷰를 이용한 상품 평가 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 보다 상세하게는 상품별로 다르게 추출되어지는 각 상품에 대한 특징들을 자동으로 추출하고 각 특징에 가중치에 의한 평점을 부여하여 온라인 쇼핑몰 사용자에게 상품의 특징을 쉽게 파악하여 구매 결정에 도움을 주는 서비스 제공이 가능하도록 한 사용자 리뷰를 이용한 상품 평가 시스템 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 사용자 리뷰를 이용한 상품 평가 시스템 및 방법은 사용자 리뷰에 나타난 상품에 대한 특징 및 그에 대한 구체적인 평가를 정량화할 수 있도록 상품에 대한 기존 사용자의 리뷰에 나타난 명사와 감성어를 분석하여 상품의 보다 세부적인 특징을 추출하고 해당 특징에 평점을 이용한 가중치를 부여하여 제공하도록 하여 상품을 구매하려는 사용자에게 보다 상세하고 유용한 결과를 제공할 수 있도록 하였다.
