Summary:The present invention relates to a device and a method for detecting a home appliance operation status, which recognize sound output from an electronic product and provide a selection item capable of controlling the electronic product according to an operation status corresponding to the sound, thereby remotely identifying a home appliance status through a user terminal by a user and controlling the electronic product. The device for detecting a home appliance operation status according to the present invention comprises: an input part receiving the sound output by the home appliance; and a processing part loading operation status information according to the sound from a sound database when the sound is associated with informing the operation status for the home appliance, and transmitting the operation status information to the user terminal registered in advance. 본 발명은 가전제품 동작상태 감지 장치 및 가전제품 동작상태 감지 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 가전제품 동작상태 감지 장치는, 가전제품에서 출력하는 사운드를 입력 받는 입력부 및 상기 사운드가, 상기 가전제품에 대한 동작상태를 알리는 것과 연관되는 경우, 상기 사운드에 따른 동작상태정보를, 사운드 데이터베이스로부터 로드하고, 기등록된 사용자 단말로, 상기 동작상태정보를 전송하는 처리부를 포함할 수 있다.
