The present invention relates to an electric compressor to restrain an electrolyte from being scattered or flowing out over a circuit board when a pressure opening valve of an electrolytic condenser is opened. According to the present invention, when an inverter (20a) is received in a cover, the electrolytic condenser (23) is disposed to allow the bottom wall (14) of a first housing and each circuit board (21) to face a body part (23a), and the bottom part (40) of a condenser cover (35) is interposed between the body part (23a) of the electrolytic condenser (23) and the circuit board (21). Accordingly, the electrolytic condenser (23) is surrounded by the bottom part (40) and a side wall (44) of the condenser cover (35), thereby restraining the electrolyte from being scattered or flowing out to a circuit board (21) aside by the bottom part (40) and the side wall (44) of the condenser cover (35) even if a pressure opening valve (23e) of the electrolytic condenser (23) is opened and the electrolyte is scattered or flows out to the outside.
