A wireless power transmitter according to various embodiments of the present invention includes: an antenna for transmitting a plurality of detection power including direction information in a plurality of directions, respectively; a communication circuit which receives a communication signal including first direction information included in first detection power, from an electronic device to receive the first detection power among the plurality of detection power; and a processor for controlling the antenna to transmit power for charging based on the first direction information included in the communication signal. Accordingly, the present invention can more quickly detect the electronic device that is a charging target. 본 발명의 다양한 실시예에 따른 무선 전력 송신기는, 복수 개의 방향 각각으로, 각각이 방향 정보를 포함하는 복수 개의 검출용 전력을 송신하는 안테나, 상기 복수 개의 검출용 전력 중 제 1 검출용 전력을 수신한 전자 장치로부터, 상기 제 1 검출용 전력에 포함된 제 1 방향 정보를 포함하는 통신 신호를 수신하는 통신 회로 및 상기 통신 신호에 포함된 상기 제 1 방향 정보에 기초하여, 충전을 위한 전력을 송신하도록 상기 안테나를 제어하는 프로세서를 포함할 수 있다.
