An apparatus and method for restoring a 3D model using image processing are disclosed. The method for restoring a 3D model using image processing according to an embodiment of the present invention, which is a 3D model restoration method of a 3D model restoration apparatus using image processing, includes a step of receiving the photographed image of an object to restore a 3D model, and searching for feature points of the image to generate a point cloud; a step of refining the point cloud using an image processing algorithm; a step of generating a 3D mesh using the refined point cloud; and a step of mapping the image with a 3D texture generated using the 3D mesh to restore the 3D model.
