Provided are a method and apparatus for registering a device in a cloud server by sensing the device using near field communication, requesting an authentication code required for registering the device in the cloud server from an account server according to the sensing of the device, receiving the authentication code from the account server, and transmitting the received authentication code and address information of the cloud server to the device. Accordingly, the present invention can minimize the intervention of a user required for registering the device in the cloud server. 근거리 통신을 이용하여 디바이스를 감지하고, 디바이스가 감지됨에 따라, 디바이스를 클라우드 서버에 등록하기 위해 필요한 인증 코드를 계정 서버에게 요청하며, 계정 서버로부터 인증 코드를 수신하고, 수신된 인증 코드 및 상기 클라우드 서버의 주소 정보를 디바이스로 전송함으로써 디바이스를 클라우드 서버에 등록시키는 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.
