The present invention relates to a food cooking device (1) comprising a vessel (2), a lid (5) independent of the vessel (2), and a bayonet locking system configured to switch from an unlocking configuration to a locking configuration by rotating the lid (5) relative to the vessel (2), and more specifically, to the device (1) further comprising a safety element (12) affixed to the lid and configured to rotate along with the lid relative to the vessel (2). The device (1) comprises: a main body (13) having the safety element (12) affixed to the lid (5); and a lock (16), and in particular, the lock is mounted between a deployed position and a retracted position so as to move radially relative to the main body (13), the deployed position in which the lock (16) projects from the lid (5) and the main body (13) both, in a radial direction, and the retracted position in which the lock (16) is retracted inside the lid (5).
