Summary:Provided are a real-time active response structure with a piezoelectric actuator and a method thereof, in which a piezoelectric effect, electric production using the piezoelectric effect, and displacement control using an inverse piezoelectric effect are utilized to diagnose a state of a structure in real time so as to control stress not to exceed a threshold value, so that an additional damage or corrosion is prevented from occurring during a time from occurrence of a damage to inspection. In addition, under control of a piezoelectric element main control device, reverse displacement is generated only in individual piezoelectric sensors at specific positions by using electricity generated in each of a plurality of piezoelectric elements, and the electricity generated and stored from the individual piezoelectric elements of a piezoelectric element module is applied only to individual piezoelectric elements in which stress of the threshold value is generated. Further, the piezoelectric element main control device is provided with a communication device, so that when the stress exceeding the threshold value is generated from the structure so as to disable sufficient control performed by a piezoelectric actuator, a structure manager is notified to perform an immediate action on the damage. The real-time active response structure includes: a structure; a piezoelectric element module; a piezoelectric element main control device; a power storage and supply unit; and a communication device. 압전 효과뿐만 아니라, 이를 이용한 전기 생산 및 역압전 효과를 이용한 변위 제어를 모두 활용함으로써 구조물의 상태를 실시간 진단하여 임계값 이상의 응력이 발생하지 않도록 제어할 수 있고, 이에 따라 손상 발생 이후 점검까지의 시간동안 추가 손상이나 부식이 진행되지 않도록 방지할 수 있고, 또한, 압전소자 주제어장치의 제어에 따라 다수의 압전소자 각각에서 발생한 전기를 이용해서 특정 위치에 있는 개별 압전센서에만 역변위를 발생시키게 되며, 압전소자 모듈의 개별 압전소자로부터 각각 발생하여 저장된 전기는 임계값 응력이 발생하는 개별 압전소자에만 인가할 수 있으며, 또한, 압전소자 주제어장치가 통신장치를 구비함으로써, 구조물로부터 임계값 이상의 응력이 발생하여 압전 액추에이터에 의해 충분한 제어가 불가능한 경우, 손상에 대한 즉각적인 조치가 이루어지도록 구조물 관리자에게 통보할 수 있는, 압전 액추에이터가 구비된 실시간 능동 대응 구조물 및 그 방법이 제공된다.
