The present invention relates to an amplifier with a function of controlling an output range and a multi-step amplification device using the same. Provided are the amplifier with a function of controlling an output range and the multi-step amplification device using the same, which uses upper-limit and lower-limit clamping voltages for restricting the output range to an output terminal of the amplifier to control an output range of the amplifier, so that it is possible to solve occurrence of noise due to a drastic increase in alteration of an output of an amplifier according to difference between two inputs of the amplifier and derivative side effects such as an increase in power consumption. The amplifier comprises: a differential amplification block receiving first and second differential signals to make differential amplification; an output block determining an output signal according to states of the two signals which are differentially amplified in the differential amplification block and then outputted; and an output range restriction block restricting an output range by using the upper-limit and lower-limit clamping signals to control the output range of the signal outputted by the output block. 본 기술은 출력 범위 제어 기능을 가지는 증폭기 및 그를 이용한 다단 증폭 장치에 관한 것으로, 증폭기의 두 입력의 차이에 따라서 증폭기의 출력 변동이 매우 커짐으로 인하여 야기되는 노이즈 발생, 전력 소모 증가 등과 같은 파생적인 역효과 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 증폭기의 출력단에 출력 범위를 제한하기 위한 상한 및 하한 클램핑 전압을 사용하여 증폭기의 출력 범위를 제어하는, 출력 범위 제어 기능을 가지는 증폭기 및 그를 이용한 다단 증폭 장치를 제공한다. 이러한 증폭기는, 제 1 및 제 2 차동 신호를 입력받아 차동 증폭하기 위한 차동 증폭 블럭; 상기 차동 증폭 블럭에서 차동 증폭되어 출력되는 두 신호의 상태에 따라 출력 신호를 결정하기 위한 출력 블럭; 및 상한 및 하한 클램핑 신호를 이용하여 상기 출력 블럭에서 출력되는 신호의 출력 범위를 제어하여 제한하기 위한 출력 범위 제한 블럭을 포함할 수 있다.
