발생하는 토크 저항의 증대를 회피하면서, 이물의 침입방지 기능을 향상시킬 수 있는 밀봉장치를 제공한다. 밀봉장치(1)는, 허브 베어링(50)의 외륜(51)에 부착되는 밀봉장치 본체(10)와 허브(52)에 부착되는 슬링거(20)를 구비하고, 밀봉장치 본체(10)는, 보강 링(12)과 탄성체부(11)를 구비한다. 탄성체부(11)는, 슬링거(20)의 외주측 단부(20c)보다 외주측에 위치하고 허브(52)와의 사이에 간극(31)을 형성하는 외주측 래비린스 립(15)과, 내주측 래비린스 립(16)과, 사이드 립(17)을 구비한다. 외주측 래비린스 립(15)은, 그 선단부가 슬링거(20)의 외주측 단부(20c)보다 축선(x) 방향에 있어서 외측에 위치함과 함께, 외주측 래비린스 립(15)의 외주측에 있어서 내주측으로 함몰된 축선(x)을 중심으로 하는 환 형상의 홈부(32)를 형성하고 있다. A distal end portion of the outer periphery side labyrinth lip (15) is positioned on the outer side of the outer periphery side end portion (20c) of the slinger (20) in a direction of an axis (x), and the outer periphery side labyrinth lip (15) forms a groove portion (32) in an annular shape centered about the axis (x) and depressed toward the inner periphery side at the outer periphery side labyrinth lip (15) on the outer periphery side.
