Summary:The present invention relates to a compound for being used as an emitter, and a device including the compound, e.g., an organic light emitting diode (OLED). Provided is a compound having chemical formula, Ir(L_A)_n(L_B)_(3-n), having a structure of chemical formula I. In the structure of chemical formula I, A^1 to A^8 are each independently carbon or nitrogen; at least one of A^1 to A^8 is nitrogen; a ring B is bonded to a ring A through a C-C bond; iridium is bonded to the ring A through an Ir-C bond; X is O, S, or Se; R^1 to R^5 are each independently selected from various substituents, and connected to one another to be able to form a ring; n is an integer of 1 to 3; and at least one R^2 adjacent to a ring C is not hydrogen.
