Summary:According to an embodiment of the present invention, a touch sensor comprises: driving electrodes; sensing electrodes forming mutual capacitance with the driving electrodes; an electrode driving unit for providing driving signals to the driving electrodes; and a position detecting unit for receiving sensing signals from the sensing electrodes. The position detecting unit differentiates sensing signal received from two sensing electrodes arranged to be adjacent to each other among the sensed electrodes, and detects a touch position by using a differential value. 본 발명의 실시 예에 따른 터치 센서는, 구동 전극들과, 상기 구동 전극들과 상호 정전 용량을 형성하는 감지 전극들과, 상기 구동 전극들에 구동 신호들을 제공하는 전극 구동부와, 상기 감지 전극들로부터 감지 신호들을 수신하는 위치 검출부를 포함하고, 상기 위치 검출부는 상기 감지 전극들 중 인접하게 배치된 두 개의 감지 전극들로부터 수신된 감지 신호들을 차분하고, 차분값을 이용하여 터치 위치를 검출한다.
