Summary: | The present invention relates to a luminance enhancement optical substrate to be used in a flat panel display having a flat panel type light source which comprises: a substrate; a light input surface on one side of the substrate; an uneven light output surface on the other side of the substrate; and a long prism array arranged in parallel to the light output surface. A prism has a horizontally changed section. Therefore, the luminance enhancement optical substrate has a surface structure which enhances luminance and reduces interference-fringes.
