According to an embodiment of the present invention, the present invention relates to an electronic device which comprises a hardware timer, a memory, a communications circuit, and a processor. The processor measures a first time of the hardware timer in response to a playback event received from a master paired with the electronic device through the communications circuit, calculates a third time by adding a predefined second time to the first time, and executes a command to reproduce a sound source at the third time. Also, a first resolution of the hardware timer may be set higher than a second resolution of an operating system. 일 실시 예에 따른 전자 장치는 하드웨어 타이머(hardware timer), 메모리, 통신 회로, 및 프로세서를 포함하고, 상기 프로세서는, 상기 전자 장치와 페어링(pairing) 된 마스터(master)로부터 상기 통신 회로를 통해 수신되는 재생 이벤트에 응답하여(in response to a playback event) 상기 하드웨어 타이머의 제1 시간을 측정하고, 상기 제1 시간에 미리 정의된 제2 시간을 가산하여 제3 시간을 산출하고, 상기 제3 시간에 상기 음원이 재생되도록 상기 명령을 실행시키고, 상기 하드웨어 타이머의 상기 제1 해상도는 상기 운영 체제의 상기 제2 해상도보다 높게 설정될 수 있다.
