본 발명에 따른 세탁기는 세탁수를 응집 처리하는 응집 드럼을 포함한다. 상기 응집 드럼 내부에는 적어도 하나의 청결 모구가 설치되고, 응집 드럼 내부에는 교반 기구가 설치되며, 상기 교반 기구는 응집 드럼 내부의 물을 휘젓어 청결 모구가 적어도 응집 드럼을 청결하게 하는 과정에서 물 흐름을 따라 움직이면서 응집 드럼 내부에 부착된 응집물을 제거하도록 한다. 세탁기의 제어방법은 응집 드럼 내부로 물을 유입시키고 교반 기구를 작동시켜, 청결 모구가 교반 물 흐름을 따라 움직이면서 응집 드럼 내부에 부착된 응집물을 제거하도록 한다. 상기 장치 및 방법을 통하여 응집 드럼 내부에 남아있는 응집물을 제거하는 목적을 달성할 수 있다. 또한, 본 발명은 구조가 간단하며 현저한 효과를 구비한다.
