Summary: | The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for limiting current. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for limiting current comprises: a resistance measurement unit for measuring a resistance value of both ends of a fuse connected in series between a battery pack and a load; a current limit unit connected to a main relay in parallel, wherein the main relay is connected to the fuse in series; and a control unit for controlling turning on and off of each of the main relay and the current limit unit based on the resistance value measured by the resistance measurement unit. Accordingly, when the resistance value of the both ends of the fuse increases by degrading the fuse, a size of current flowing in the fuse can be differentially reduced.
본 발명은 전류 제한 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 일 실시예에 따른 전류 제한 장치는, 배터리 팩과 부하 사이에 직렬 연결되는 퓨즈 양단의 저항값을 측정하는 저항 측정부; 상기 퓨즈와 직렬 연결되는 메인 릴레이와 병렬 연결되는 전류 제한부; 및 상기 저항 측정부에 의해 측정된 저항값을 기초로, 상기 메인 릴레이 및 상기 전류 제한부의 턴온 및 턴오프를 개별적으로 제어하는 제어부;를 포함한다. 이에 따라, 퓨즈가 퇴화됨에 따라 퓨즈 양단의 저항값이 증가하는 경우, 퓨즈에 흐르는 전류의 크기를 차등적으로 감소시키는 것이 가능하다. |
