Summary:The present invention varies and transmits a frequency, extracts a brag scattering signal generated only on the surface of water, calculates a flow velocity, is robust from a surrounding environment and can observe unmanned and real time observation. Unlike an electromagnetic wave surface flow velocity meter using only a fixed frequency, the frequency is varied and flow velocity information by distance is calculated, thereby increasing reliability of calculation data. The flow velocity is calculated in a more direct method than RiverSonde which converts frequency into one-dimensional data after calculating two-dimensional data, so that costs and a time can be reduced compared to a conventional method. A flow velocity observation system comprises the following parts of: generating a transmission signal while varying the frequency; synthesizing the received signal with the transmission signal, and converting the same into a base band signal; processing the base band signal, and analyzing the data; and directly calculating the flow velocity from a main component of the scattered signal. 본 발명은 주파수를 가변하며 송신하고 수면에서만 발생하는 브래그 산란신호를 추출하고 유속을 산출하여 주변 영향으로부터 강인하고 무인화, 실시간 관측이 가능하도록 발명하였다. 고정된 주파수만을 사용하는 형식의 전자파표면유속계와 달리 주파수를 가변하며 거리별 유속정보를 산출하여 산출자료의 신뢰도를 높였으며 2차원 자료 산출 후 1차원 자료로 변환하는 RiverSonde보다 직접적인 방법으로 유속을 산출함으로써, 종래 보다 비용 및 시간을 줄일 수 있다.
