Summary:The present invention provides a secondary battery capable of reducing an intrusion of foreign materials. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the secondary battery comprises: an electrode assembly including a first electrode and a second electrode; a case storing the electrode assembly; a cap plate coupled to the case; a first terminal electrically connected to the first electrode, and protruding to the outside of the cap plate; a first current collection member electrically connecting the first electrode and the first terminal; and a first protective member covering a surface of the first current collection member facing the electrode assembly. 본 발명은 이물질의 침입을 감소시킬 수 있는 이차 전지를 제공한다. 본 발명의 일 측면에 따른 이차 전지는 제1전극, 제2전극을 포함하는 전극 어셈블리, 상기 전극 어셈블리를 수용하는 케이스, 상기 케이스에 결합된 캡 플레이트, 상기 제1전극과 전기적으로 연결되며 상기 캡 플레이트의 외측으로 돌출된 제1단자, 상기 제1전극과 상기 제1단자를 전기적으로 연결하는 제1집전부재, 및 상기 제1집전부재에서 상기 전극 어셈블리를 향하는 면을 덮는 제1보호부재를 포함한다.
