Summary:The present invention relates to a method for controlling the speed of a vehicle in a start-stop coasting (SSC) entry state and an apparatus for the same. The method for controlling the speed of a vehicle in a start-stop coasting (SSC) comprises: an SSC entry step (S100) in which a driving vehicle enters the SSC or the vehicle in an SSC entry state is maintained when the driving vehicle satisfies predetermined SSC entry conditions; a first determination step (S200) determining whether a growth rate of a vehicle speed is equal to or greater than predetermined reference acceleration after the SSC entry step (S100); and a first control step (S300) of engaging a clutch while fuel supply to an engine is stopped to stop the engine when the growth rate of a vehicle speed is determined to be greater than or equal to the reference acceleration by the first determination step (S200). According to the present invention, even if the vehicle enters the SSC in a section where the vehicle speed increases such as a downhill road, the vehicle is prevented from being excessively accelerated, thereby securing the safety of a driver. In addition, even if the vehicle enters the SSC in a section where the vehicle speed increases such as a downhill road, the method prevents the driver from activating a brake pedal and releasing the SSC, thereby maximizing fuel efficiency. 본 발명은 SSC 진입상태에서의 차속제어방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따른 SSC 진입상태에서의 차속제어방법은 주행중인 차량이 기설정된 SSC 진입조건을 만족하는 경우에는 SSC에 진입하거나 SSC 진입상태를 유지하는 SSC 진입단계(S100); 상기 SSC 진입단계(S100) 후, 차속증가율이 기설정된 기준가속도 이상인지 판단하는 제 1 판단단계(S200); 및 상기 제 1 판단단계(S200)에서 차속증가율이 기설정된 기준가속도 이상인 것으로 판단된 경우에는, 엔진에 연료공급을 중단하여 엔진을 정지시킨 상태에서 클러치를 체결하는 제 1 제어단계(S300);를 포함한다. 본 발명에 따르면, 내리막길 등 차량의 속도가 증가하는 구간에서 SSC에 진입하는 경우에도, 차량이 지나치게 가속되는 것을 방지하여 운전자의 안전을 보호할 수 있다. 또한, 이에 따라 내리막길 등 차량의 속도가 증가하는 구간에서 SSC에 진입하는 경우에도, 운전자가 브레이크페달을 작동시켜 SSC를 해제하는 것을 방지하여, 연비향상을 극대화할 수 있다.
