Summary: | The present invention relates to a hot pack for maintaining body temperature and a method of manufacturing the same, wherein the hot pack comprises: a heating member which comprises fatty acids; a temperature maintenance member which surrounds the outside of the heating member and includes a high absorbent resin; and a packing member which surrounds the entire surface of the temperature maintenance member and the heating member. According to the present invention, the hot pack for maintaining body temperature, by comprising the high absorbent resin surrounding the fatty acids which are beef tallow components, can maintain a temperature through the interaction between the high absorbent resin and heat of solidification that is liberated as the fatty acids in a central portion that were heated and melted by a water bath get re-solidified. Additionally, since the fatty acids can be obtained directly from various local sources and the hot pack of the present invention can be re-used semi-permanently unlike disposable hot packs, thus, if commercialized, the present invention can significantly reduce the infant mortality due to hypothermia.
