The present invention relates to an SNP for adjusting the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig and the use thereof. More specifically, the present invention relates to: a composition for determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid which comprises formulation to detect or amplify an SNP related to the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig; a kit containing the same; a method for determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig; a method for producing a pig with reduced fatty acid and increased unsaturated fatty acid; a method for reducing the content of saturated fatty acid and increasing the content of unsaturated fatty acid of a pig; and a marker and a microarray for determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig. The SNP marker capable of determining the content of saturated fatty acid and unsaturated fatty acid of a pig of the present invention is used as a means for objectively determining the reduction of back fat thickness of a pig, which is not determined visually, and is expected to contribute to the establishment of a distribution order of pork. 본 발명은 돼지의 포화 및 불포화 지방산 함량을 조절하는 SNP 및 이의 용도에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 본 발명은 돼지의 포화 및 불포화 지방산의 함량과 관련된 SNP를 검출 또는 증폭할 수 있는 제제를 포함하는 돼지의 포화 및 불포화 지방산 함량 판단용 조성물, 상기 조성물을 포함하는 키트, 돼지의 포화 및 불포화 지방산의 함량을 판단할 수 있는 방법, 돼지의 포화 지방산 함량이 감소되고 불포화 지방산 함량이 증가된 돼지의 제조방법. 돼지의 포화 지방산 함량을 감소시키고 불포화 지방산 함량을 증가시키는 방법, 돼지의 포화 및 불포화 지방산 함량 판단용 마커 및 마이크로어레이에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 돼지의 포화 및 불포화 지방산의 함량을 판단할 수 있는 SNP 마커는 육안으로 구별되지 않는 등지방두께의 저감을 객관적으로 평가할 수 있는 수단으로 사용되므로, 돼지육의 유통질서 확립에 이바지할 수 있을 것이다.
