The present invention relates to a composition for improving cognitive functions comprising a ginseng extract as an active ingredient and, more specifically, to a composition, a health functional food, a pharmaceutical composition and a food additive for improving cognitive functions comprising a mixture in which an alcohol extract of ginseng and a water extract of residual ginseng filtrate after extraction are mixed as an active ingredient, and to a manufacturing method thereof.
