The present invention relates to a composition for diagnosis and treatment of recurrent thyroid cancer comprising a recombinant human thyroid stimulating hormone (rhTSH), and to a method for purifying the rhTSH. The method for purifying the rhTSH, according to the present invention, can purify the rhTSH exhibiting excellent purification yield and purity, and results in an excellent quality and activity of purified rhTSH. Therefore, the recombinant thyroid stimulating hormone purified by the method can be usefully used for diagnosis or treatment of the recurrent thyroid cancer. 본 발명은 재조합 인간 갑상선 자극 호르몬(rhTSH)을 포함하는 재발 갑상선암의 진단 및 치료용 조성물 및 상기 재조합 인간 갑상선 자극 호르몬을 정제하기 위한 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 방법의 재조합 인간 갑상선 자극 호르몬의 정제 방법은 우수한 정제 수율 및 순도를 나타내는 rhTSH를 정제할 수 있고, 정제된 rhTSH의 품질 및 활성이 뛰어나다. 따라서, 상기 방법으로 정제된 재조합 갑상선 자극 호르몬은 재발된 갑상선암의 진단 또는 치료에 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
