According to the present invention, a recording device comprises: a recording head; and a liquid storage container where a liquid storage chamber storing liquid supplied to the recording head, an air connection chamber connected to the air, and a connection flow passage connecting the liquid storage chamber and the air connection chamber are integrally formed. The liquid storage container can pose a first posture where the air connection chamber is positioned on a lower side of the liquid storage chamber in the gravity direction and a second posture where the air connection chamber and the liquid storage chamber are positioned in parallel to each other in the horizontal direction.
