Summary: | The present invention relates to a short arc type discharge lamp which has a pair of cathodes and anodes disposed inside a light emitting tube and is vertically turned on. When a blackening-inducing material such as a metal or the like which evaporates from an electrode in the light emitting tube or an electrode core wire is transported by a convection gas when a light is turned on. It is prevented that the blackening-inducing material adheres to an inner wall of the light emitting tube and blackening. Provided is a lamp structure with a high luminous intensity maintenance rate over a long period of time. A collection member for collecting the blackening-inducing substance by allowing the convection gas in the light emitting tube to flow, is attached onto an electrode at an upper position in the light emitting tube. So, lifetime can be extended.
발광관의 내부에 한 쌍의 음극과 양극이 대향 배치되고, 수직 점등되는 쇼트 아크형 방전 램프에 있어서, 발광관 내의 전극이나 전극 심선 등으로부터 증발한 금속 등의 흑화 원인 물질이 점등 시의 대류 가스에 의해 수송되어 발광관의 내벽에 부착되어 흑화하는 것을 방지하고, 장시간에 걸쳐 조도 유지율이 높은 램프 구조를 제공하는 것이다. 발광관 내의 상방 위치에 있는 전극의 위쪽에, 발광관 내의 대류 가스를 통과시켜 흑화 원인 물질을 포집하는 포집 부재를 부착한 것을 특징으로 한다. |
