According to a liquid crystal display device and a method of manufacturing the same, when a plurality of array substrates are manufactured on a mother substrate, link lines corresponding to two different models are formed on both sides of the array substrate of a pad part, and is cut and used according to a desired model. At least two models of liquid crystal display devices can be manufactured in the same mother substrate at a time. According to the present invention, it is possible to reduce material costs by using only one photomask for manufacturing the array substrate of the two models. 본 발명의 액정표시장치 및 그 제조방법은 모기판(mother substrate)에 다수의 어레이 기판을 제작할 때, 패드부의 어레이 기판 양측에 서로 다른 2개의 모델에 대응하는 링크배선을 각각 형성하여 스크라이브(scribe) 시 원하는 모델에 따라 절단하여 사용함으로써, 적어도 2개 모델의 액정표시장치를 동일한 모기판에서 한번에 제작할 수 있는 것을 특징으로 한다. 이러한 본 발명에 의하면, 2개 모델의 어레이 기판을 제작하는데 하나의 포토 마스크만을 사용함에 따라 재료비를 절감할 수 있는 효과를 제공한다.
