Summary:The present invention relates to a method for enhancing cold resistance of roses and, more specifically, to a method for enhancing cold resistance of roses by introducing E. coli-derived superoxide dismutase 2 (SOD2) genes to roses and expressing the same. According to the present invention, cold resistance of roses can be effectively improved. The roses with improved cold resistance can survive longer when the roses live at a low temperature environment, so production yield of crops can be increased while production costs can be decreased. 본 발명은 장미의 내한성(耐寒性, cold resistance) 개선 방법에 관한 것으로, 구체적으로 장미에 대장균 유래 슈퍼옥사이드 디스뮤타제 2(Superoxide dismutase 2, SOD2) 유전자를 도입하여 발현되도록 함으로써 장미의 내한성을 증대시키는 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면 장미의 내한성을 효과적으로 개선할 수 있다. 내한성이 개선된 본 발명에 따른 장미는 저온 환경에서도 보다 오랫동안 생존할 수 있어, 작물의 생산수율을 증가시키고 생산비용을 절감하는 효과를 기대할 수 있다.
