Summary: | A system for generating a haptic effect generates a driving period signal including a driving period and a monitoring period. The driving period includes a plurality of driving pulses based on the haptic effect. The system applies the driving pulses to a resonant actuator during the driving period and receives signals corresponding to the position of a mass in the actuator from the resonant actuator during the monitoring period. So, effective haptic feedback can be provided to a user interface.
