The present invention provides privacy enhancement for wireless devices capable of connecting to wireless networks and performing communication through the wireless networks. According to the present invention, the wireless device can acquire a network information record from other devices operated as a credential source. The network information record includes network access information (for example, session identification (SSID) and a password) for the wireless network, and conditions for making the wireless device search for the wireless network. The wireless device realizes a use policy by searching for the wireless network only when such conditions are satisfied.
