Disclosed are a method for assisting walking and a device for operating the same. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method for assisting walking comprises the following steps: calculating momentum of a user based on a living body signal of the user; adjusting assist parameter patterns according to the momentum; and generating power corresponding to the adjusted pattern.
