The present invention relates to a system and a method for trading contents comprising: a receiving part configured to receive setting data including data of the contents and data of a copyright holder and selling conditions on the contents; a transmitting part configured to transmit data on the contents to a user who purchased the contents based on the setting data; and a payment managing part configured to pay the price to one or more copyright holders based on the setting data when the contents are sold. According to the system for trading contents, a payment can be made to one or more copyright holders related to partial workpiece of contents when the contents are sold by designating setting data such as copyright holders or a price of partial workpiece of contents. Accordingly, a payment due to an original copyright holder of the contents can be secured even in case that production and distribution of secondary copyright are executed in various channels while contents are freely distributed. 컨텐츠(contents) 거래 시스템은, 컨텐츠 및 상기 컨텐츠에 대한 저작자 정보 및 판매 조건 정보를 포함하는 설정 정보를 수신하도록 구성된 수신부; 상기 설정 정보에 기초하여 상기 컨텐츠를 구매한 사용자에게 상기 컨텐츠에 대한 정보를 전송하도록 구성된 송신부; 및 상기 컨텐츠 구매에 따른 결제 처리를 수행하며, 상기 컨텐츠가 판매되면, 상기 설정 정보에 기초하여 하나 이상의 저작자에게 판매 대금을 지급하도록 구성된 결제 관리부를 포함한다. 상기 컨텐츠 거래 시스템에 의하면, 컨텐츠의 부분 작업물에 대하여 저작자 및 판매 가격 등의 설정 정보를 지정함으로써, 컨텐츠가 판매되면 이에 관련된 하나 또는 복수의 저작자에게 판매 대금을 지급할 수 있다. 따라서, 컨텐츠들이 자유롭게 유통되면서 2차적 저작물의 생성 및 유통이 다양한 경로로 이루어지는 경우에도, 원 컨텐츠의 저작자가 마땅히 받아야 할 보상을 받도록 보장할 수 있다.
