Provided is a method for adjusting a playback rate of haptic effects to a desired playback rate. A desired playback rate is determined. A portion of a haptic signal based on the desired playback rate is generated. The portion of the haptic signal is transmitted to a haptic output device such that the haptic output device outputs haptic effects at a payback rate corresponding to the desired playback rate. A non-temporary computer readable medium stores instructions to allow a processor to generate the haptic effects. The instructions includes: instructions to determine the playback rate; instructions to generate the haptic signal based on the playback rate; and instructions to apply the haptic signal to the haptic output device in order to generate the haptic effects at the playback rate. 햅틱 효과들의 재생 레이트를 원하는 재생 레이트로 조절하는 방법이 제공된다. 원하는 재생 레이트가 결정된다. 원하는 재생 레이트에 기초한 햅틱 신호의 한 부분이 발생된다. 햅틱 신호의 그 부분이 햅틱 출력 디바이스로 송신되어, 햅틱 출력 디바이스로 하여금 원하는 재생 레이트에 대응하는 재생 레이트로 햅틱 효과들을 출력하게 한다.
