According to the present invention, 5-adamantan-1-yl-N-(2,4-dihydroxybenzyl)-2,4-dimethoxybenzamide can exhibit an excellent anti-inflammatory effect without having cytotoxicity. For example, the 5-adamantan-1-yl-N-(2,4-dihydroxybenzyl)-2,4-dimethoxybenzamide suppresses the generation of at least one from NO and PGE2, the activity of at least one from NF-B and AP-1 which are transcription factors, or the inflammatory cytokine such as IL-1, thereby exhibiting an excellent anti-inflammatory effect. 본 명세서에 기재된 5-아다만탄-1-일-N-(2,4-다이하이드록시벤질)-2,4-다이메톡시벤즈아마이드는 독성이 없으면서 우수한 항염 효과를 나타낼 수 있다. 예컨대, NO 및 PGE2 중 하나 이상의 생성을 저해하거나, 전사인자인 NF-κB 및 AP-1 중 하나 이상의 활성을 억제하거나, IL-1β와 같은 염증성 사이토카인을 저해함으로써 우수한 항염 효과를 나타낸다.
