A vessel is provided. The vessel according to an aspect of the present invention includes: a main generator producing electricity; an energy storage system (ESS) storing some of electricity produced by the main generator; a main distribution board connected to the main generator and supplying the electricity to a load including an emergency load; an emergency distribution board connected with the main distribution board and the ESS and supplying the electricity to the emergency load; and a controller supplying the electricity stored in the ESS to the emergency load by controlling the emergency distribution board according to a current or a voltage flowing in the main or emergency distribution board.
