Summary: | According to one embodiment, provided is an electrode (3). The electrode (3) is provided with a current collector (3a), a first electrode cladding layer (3b_1) formed on the current collector (3a), and a second electrode cladding layer (3b_2) formed on the first electrode cladding layer (3b_1). The first electrode cladding layer (3b_1) includes a monoclinic crystal-type niobium-titanium complex oxide. The second electrode cladding layer (3b_2) includes a lithium titanium oxide with a spinel structure. Provided is the electrode, which can perform a nonaqueous electrolyte battery having excellent safety and lifespan properties.
