Provided is an energy storage system (ESS) control device. The ESS control device can improve power efficiency. According to an aspect of the present invention, the ESS control device includes: a shore connect system (SCS) receiving power from alternative maritime power supply (AMP); the ESS charged with the power generated from a power generator and supplying the power to a power facility by discharging the charged power; and a controller providing a charging signal to the ESS to charging the ESS using the power received from the SCS when a vessel is anchored to a harbor in which the AMP exists, and providing a discharging signal to the ESS to supply the power to the power facility by discharging the power of the ESS when the vessel is anchored to the harbor in which the AMP does not exist.
