Provided are an electronic device and a method of performing wireless communications using beamforming thereof, capable of reducing an overhead and effectively transmitting and receiving data. Various embodiments of the present invention provide an electronic device for performing wireless communications using beamforming, which includes: a communications unit for transmitting and receiving signals to and from a counterpart node; a memory for storing a beamforming setup table; and a control unit for identifying identification information of the counterpart node based on at least one among schedule information, a reception packet and a transmission packet, identifying beamforming setup information corresponding to the identification information of the counterpart node from the stored beamforming setup table, and establishing a beamforming link with the counterpart node based on the beamforming setup information to transmit and receive the data. The present invention is not limited to the embodiments, and other embodiments are possible. 본 발명의 다양한 실시 예는 빔포밍을 이용하여 무선 통신을 수행하는 전자 장치에 관한 것으로, 상대 노드와 신호를 송수신 하는 통신부; 빔포밍 설정 테이블을 저장하는 메모리; 및 스케쥴 정보, 수신 패킷 또는 송신 패킷 중 적어도 하나에 기반하여 상기 상대 노드의 식별 정보를 확인하고, 상기 저장된 빔포밍 설정 테이블로부터 상기 상대 노드의 식별 정보에 대응하는 빔포밍 설정 정보를 확인하며, 상기 빔포밍 설정 정보에 기반하여 상기 상대 노드와 빔포밍 링크를 생성하여 데이터를 송신 또는 수신하도록 제어하는 제어부를 포함하는 수 있다. 다만, 상기 실시 예에 한정되지 않으며 다른 실시 예가 가능하다.
