전력 차단 장치는 부하에 접속된 출력 단자와, 전원과 출력 단자의 사이에 병렬로 접속된 복수의 차단 회로와, 복수의 차단 회로의 각각을 제어하는 제어 장치를 구비한다. 복수의 차단 회로의 각각은, 전원과 중간 노드의 사이에 접속되고 제어 장치로부터 출력되는 차단 신호에 의해서 ON/OFF 제어되는 스위치 소자와, 중간 노드로부터 출력 단자로의 방향이 순방향이 되도록 접속된 정류 소자를 가진다. 제어 장치는 복수의 차단 회로를 차례로 진단 대상 회로로 설정한다. 제어 장치는 그 진단 대상 회로의 스위치 소자가 OFF 되도록, 복수의 차단 회로의 각각에 출력하는 차단 신호를 설정한다. 또한, 제어 장치는 진단 대상 회로의 중간 노드의 전압에 기초하여, 진단 대상 회로에 이상이 발생해 있는지 여부를 판정한다. A power interrupting device has: an output terminal connected to a load; interruption circuits connected in parallel between a power source and the output terminal; and a control device controlling each interruption circuit. Each interruption circuit has: a switch element connected between the power source and an intermediate node, and ON/OFF controlled by an interruption signal output from the control device; and a rectifier connected such that a forward direction thereof is from the intermediate node to the output terminal. The control device sets the interruption circuits as a diagnosis target circuit in turn. The control device sets the interruption signal output to each interruption circuit such that the switch element of the diagnosis target circuit is OFF. Moreover, the control device determines, based on a voltage of the intermediate node of the diagnosis target circuit, whether an abnormality occurs in the diagnosis target circuit.
